Now, pack your miserable self, your miserable list and your miserable head cold to the centre of  Aix-en-Provence on a sunny day and do your shopping.

No, it didn’t cure my cold – but it was quite hard to stay miserable.

I always thought this little square was pretty - turns out, it's one of the finest examples of Baroque architecture in Provence.

I’d stared at the lovely Place d’Albertas a dozen times before I finally learned that it is one of Provence’s finest examples of Baroque architecture.
